Pressing DTF Transfers – 5 Simple Steps

1. Skip the Pre-Press (Unless You Want To):
   No need to pre-iron your shirt unless it's super damp or you're feeling extra. Most of the time, you can just get straight to pressing.
2. Line It Up Right:
   Take your time lining up the design. No tape needed with a flat press, but it helps for hats or tricky spots. Want super clean placement? Grab a DTF alignment ruler.
3. Press It Like a Pro:
   Use medium pressure at 310°F (155°C) for 15 seconds. A little extra time or pressure won’t hurt the transfer, but don’t overdo it or you might mess up the fabric.
4. Let It Cool Before You Peel:
   Wait at least 15–30 seconds before peeling. Need to speed it up? Use a fan or air blower. If anything’s off, just check your settings and try again.
5. Final Press & Wash Tips:
   Cover the design with parchment paper or a shirt, press again for 15 seconds. Want extra durability or less shine? Use a protective guard sheet. Wash inside out, cold water, low heat dry your design will thank you.

All file types are welcome aboard our ship! While vector files make the smoothest sail, raster art should come prepared with a resolution of at least 300 dpi to navigate the printing waters with ease.
